The Ndukwe Foundation, official foundation of Chinedum Ndukwe of the Cincinnati Bengals, is hosting its inaugural Youth Wellness Camp presented by Mercy Health Partners. The event will be held on Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Mercy HealthPlex in Western Hills.
Over 200 children from non-profit organizations in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati will join Ndukwe and other members of the Cincinnati Bengals for a day of fitness and fun. The focus of the event is to educate children on healthy living by integrating physical activity, practical nutrition habits, and the importance of education.
The camp will offer participants the unique opportunity to participate in a fitness camp led by Rocky Boiman, current NFL player, and Ignition Athletic Performance Group. Additionally, it will feature an interactive health expo on nutrition and wellness with activities ranging from a cooking demonstration to a Tai Chi workshop.
Ndukwe recognizes the benefits of a healthy lifestyle in his daily interactions and career, and is excited to share his passion for wellness with others.
“Physical fitness and wellness create a strong foundation to cultivate discipline and leadership, and these skills are the basis for a bright future," says Ndukwe. “The Ndukwe Foundation strives to share these principles with our community and provide positive reinforcement to young people."
The Youth Wellness Camp is one way Ndukwe hopes to enable and inspire the area's youth to create a strong foundation like the one he stands on today.
